At the annual SEMA show manufacturers from all over were on hand to showcase some of their most innovative concept vehicles and Kia was certainly no exception. The brand featured several new and redesigned models from their upcoming lineup along with a few specialty models that were built and designed specifically for SEMA. Two of these models were the 2017 Kia Sorento Ski Gondola version and the 2017 Kia Soul Autonomous Luxury version, both of which were completely customized by Lux Motorsports.
The 2017 Kia Sorento Ski Gondola was customized from top to bottom and includes rubber tracks in place of tires, a custom roof rack, new LED lighting, cameras in place of side view mirrors, and suicide doors. The ski gondola theme is carried through on the interior with customized fabric and stitching, reversed front seats, and fully autonomous control.
The 2017 Kia Soul Autonomous Luxury version was given a high-end luxury feel with a new Lux Electric Blue exterior paint job and a reupholstered interior with a mixture of leather, suede, and wood accent trimmings. To continue with Kia’s theme of autonomy there are also a variety of new technologies included in this vehicle such as automatic leg lifts, a flat screen tv, and a tablet control, all of which can be enjoyed through the reversed front seats.
