Our King Kia customers already know Kia is incredible at making cars, but they might be even better at making commercials! Their newest ads feature the new 2017 Kia Forte and some relatable distracted drivers. In “Talent Show,” the ad we showed you last week, we meet an aspiring singer who daydreams she’s on a singing competition show. And in “Basketball” (the video above), we meet an average guy fantasizing about playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While their minds are wandering, the driver-assisted technology in the Kia Forte helps bring them back down to earth to avoid a collision. The average person’s attention span is a mere eight seconds, so the safety technology is truly for the modern driver.
Kimberly Gardiner, director of marketing at Kia Motors America explains, “Whenever we can make people laugh and associate good feelings with our brand, that’s a plus. We want to create memorable spots that the viewer can identify with, in this case, driver distraction. Our demographic is noted to have reduced attention spans and increased distractions. The Kia Forte comes equipped with smart technology to help keep people safe in this modern age.”
