Good news for all of our customers from Gaithersburg, Rockville, Bethesda, Germantown, and Silver Springs, MD, the Research & Review page on the 2017 Kia Sportage is now available! You can now find this page under our “Research” tab and we encourage you to read through it to learn all about the impressive standard and available options offered by this all-new model.
This model is available in three trim level options which include the LE, EX, and SX Turbo and there are two engine options depending on which model you select.
A few of the features that come standard on the 2017 Kia Sportage Vehicle Stability Management, Traction Control System, Hill Start Assist Control, LATCH System, Variable Intermittent Windshield Wipers, Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Hands-Free Connectivity, Remote Keyless Entry, and Rear-View Camera.

Blake Griffin is Back in New Kia Optima Commercial
When Blake Griffin isn’t busy scoring for the Los Angeles Clippers on the court, he’s driving his favorite Kia vehicles on the road! Griffin is back and better than ever in Kia’s newest commercial for the Next-Generation 2016 Kia Optima called “Chess.”
This new spot takes place in “The Zone,” a place that Griffin often finds himself when he’s playing basketball, and a place new drivers find themselves once they experience the comfortable and spacious cabin in the 2016 Kia Optima. In the zone, we see Griffin playing chess, explaining to the new Optima driver that playing basketball is a lot like chess, requiring a lot of skill, technique, and strategy.

The Insurance Institute for Highway safety has presented its highest-possible safety rating of Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) to the 2017 Kia Sportage when it is equipped with the optional front crash prevention system. This rating means that the vehicle needed to earn a score of “good” or better in each of the five IIHS crash tests and a rating of “advanced” or “superior” for the front crash prevention system.
“The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is one of the most recognized and respected organizations in the industry when it comes to evaluating vehicle safety, and as such, the Top Safety Pick Plus designation is a significant achievement,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning, KMA. “We are especially proud to have our all-new Sportage earn that TSP+ rating in light of IIHS’ new, more challenging standards, validating the efforts of our engineers and the priority we place on safety.”
Available safety features in the 2017 Kia Sportage include front and rear parking assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), high-beam assist (HBA), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Bi-HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Light (DBL) technology, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Lane Change Assist (LCA).

UVO Luxury Services Featured in the 2016 Kia K900
Kia Motors America has announced that their luxury vehicle, the 2016 Kia K900 will be exclusively featuring the advanced infotainment and telematics system, UVO Luxury Services. Features and functions like remote vehicle command and control, dealership appointment system, and Google® search, which will be powered by Verizon LTE connectivity, can be enjoyed by owners at no cost for the first five years of ownership.
The UVO Luxury Services app will also be available for drivers to download on iTunes® or GooglePlay™. The app will allow them to communicate directly with the K900 for features such as remote lock/unlock, remote start/stop, and remote cabin temperature .
“We are taking the UVO platform to yet another level of enhancement for the Kia customer by enabling drivers and passengers to use all of their personal technologies more safely and easily, while creating exceptional user experiences,” said Henry Bzeih, chief technology strategist, KMA.
